Why should you ?
Let that pack of cretins know that you "placed " seven of their lies- ridden books on members of the unsuspecting public!
(PS: I don't know you asked this question!)
bearing in mind i do not attend meetings, and theyve stopped calling to get the "report" i will not be able to give them the good news.
what a shame.
is there somewhere else i can report?.

a few months ago we had a local needs part about supporting the cbs field service on saturday.
it was given by a nice older elder, but what he said was pretty scary.
he used all the phrases and logic that are usually used for meeting attendance.
I don't know about Saturday service always being expected.
In the last congregation I was with, I used to go out on Saturday mornings - but rarely on Sundays..
For this, I got into trouble with the elders, who seemed to have the idea that Sunday service was somehow superior to that on any other day of the week.
I could never see what the big deal about Sundays was.
how many of you ex witnesses out there became irritating bastards to family and friends when you left the organisation?
did you push your believing mate right out the door with your verbal assaults?
did you send out a long letter to all of your witness family and friends telling them what a lying cult the watchtower organisation is?
No - but I sometimes wish that I was!
lately i've just been getting contacted quite a bit by depressed zombie like cultist's.
i thought i would welcome being contacted by dubs after i da'ed but i actually really find it annoying!
they all drop comments like "nothing ever changes.." "i don't really go to the meeting's that much.." "i'm just so bored.." "if i didn't have meetings i could go back to school" "brother shitbag is a jerk.. i'm so sick of him.." "the elders treat me like a child" blah blah blah.
These are "Jehovahs Happy People" you are talking about here!
.
i heared something the other day that made me sick.. apparentely its been brought out in a talk recently that children are becoming more and more imperfect due to us being right at the end of the system.. i was told that the witnesses are saying that this generation of kids being born have a natural bad streak that makes them so willfull and disobedient.. i don't know what they are saying should be done about it but i imagine they are probably encouraging harsher discipline.. the mind boggles!
Luna2 - " Making small children sit still for hours is cruel"
- that should be obvious to anyone with even half a brain!
Apparently though, our "betters" in the WTS do not even have half a brain -but they still have the affrontery to claim for themselves the sole right to tell us how to live every aspect of our lives.
The majority of kids raised as JWs have more brains than this, and give the whole charade away as soon as they possibly can - and who can ####ing well blame them.
regret, anger frustration?
how about sadness, sorrow, sympathy, understanding, even yearning!.
it can be quite confusing at times.
I mainly feel anger, as I regard them collectively as a hazard in the community.
Since having broken with the WTs, I now understand why I often got a warm reception from the public while engaged in hawking WTS propaganda from door to door.
.
honestly, do you think that jw's really like going to 3 or 4 day assemblies, especially when it's out of town, far away, and you have to take a motel room, and all the gas money and food money it takes, as well as having to sit down all day listening to endless talks...and that for 3 or 4 days in a row.. and often, they have to take a day off from work, to attend the friday meeting, so no pay for that day.. i think that the jw's are glad when it's finally over, not before.. .
All JWs that I knew agreed that the assemblies left everyone physically , mentally and emotionally exhausted.
The elders acknowledged this - without actually saying it in so many words.
However, the party line was that this was of no concern, as the assemblies left you "Spritually Refreshed" (whatever that is supposed to mean).
More than a few JWs in the congregation that I was with were open about the fact that the tim ethey looked forward to was when the assembly was over.
common to almost all flavours of the christian faith is the teaching of the ransom.
that the sacrifice of jesus' perfect human life paid back the debt of the perfect human life which our forefather adam had forfeited.. but is it truly a 'corresponding sacrifice'?.
points to consider:.
I never could figure it out, and that was one of the things that concerned me - i.e. I could parrot the WTS official line, and maybe even sound like I believed it.
In the end, I could not kee up the charade any longer!
just wondered as we are a small country compared to the usa, just wondered how many of you have left in the past 4 years or so?
I also have been out for rather longer than four years.
im from a small backward industrial town in the north of england.
in the 70's when i was a kid no-one had a car.
we used to meet for field service on the street corner and have a pep rally right there, then stand in a circle and say a prayer.
It was during the 1970's the WTS brought out a book entitled "Making your Family Life Happy."
As if they'd know the first thing about where to start!
